Philip Baum is the appointed representative of Anglo American on the Consciousness-Based Education Trust (CBET) Board. The CBET owns key Maharishi Invincibility Institute properties, donated by Anglo American, and houses the Perpetual Maintenance and Bursary Funds.

Philip had 31 years of service with Anglo American, retiring in December 2009 as CEO of its Ferrous Metals and Industries Division and a member of its Executive Committee. Philip worked in various roles including CEO of Anglo American Corporation of South Africa Limited, and Chief Executive of Anglo American Zimbabwe. He has held numerous board appointments and is a lifelong sailor and former Chairperson of World Sailing.
