2 students were selected to the ‘Quest Conference’ held by the York Region District School Board in Ontario, Canada this coming November. The theme of the conference has been named “The Quest for Increased Student Achievement and Well Being: Building Equitable, Inclusive and Engaging Schools.”
The 2 selected students were guests at the Quest PreConference, which focused on “student voice through the lens of equity, inclusivity and engaging schools.” They presented to an audience of 400 students from around the globe.
This once in a lifetime opportunity for 2 students was entirely funded by the York Region District School Board.
Walk for Education
Ephraim Seliane, hosted a walk this Saturday, July 15th to bring together supporters of the ‘Free Education Movement' in South Africa.
The walk started at Sebokeng Plaza in Vereeniging and ended in Johannesburg CBD.
This walk is ultimately a first step towards a much larger fundraising campaign later this year. Within this campaign, Ephraim dreams of hosting a walk from Johannesburg to Cape Town- all to raise money for education in South Africa.
“If we can conceive it, we can achieve it.” –Ephraim Seliane
