About the Institute
The Maharishi Institute was created in 2007 to take accessible tertiary education to another level, to showcase South Africa as a leading innovator in education provision, and create a worldwide breakthrough using the approach of Consciousness-Based Education.
The Maharishi Institute does not offer its own educational qualifications. It provides the assistance, tuition and tutorial support for students to studying with accredited partner providers.
Maharishi Insttiute support students’ intellectual, emotional, physical, and spiritual growth. We offer a loving, supportive, and nurturing environment in which every student naturally rises to develop their full innate potential.
The majority of youth graduating from South Africa’s high schools have neither the skills to make them highly employable, nor the entrepreneurial background to build successful businesses, and neither the finance nor the academic results to enter or succeed in university studies. The Maharishi Institute provides the financing, educational access, skills development path, personal development tools, and supportive campus environment that these students can make it step by step out of an often hopeless situation, to a life of success and achievement. This is why we call our approach Stepping Stones out of poverty.
